Tour (jalan-jalan) to Yogyakarta "Hometown"

Firstly Arham would say..“FINALLY" means after waiting a long time for vacation, Papi got a breaktime to spend vacation time with Ibuk, Arham & adik Allysa. It supposed to replace Arham's mudik time" during lebaran actually. But it's ok, now is better time for vacation as there is no pick session any more..JOGJA will be no crowded as it normally happened during long holiday period.

Take off from Balikpapan with GARUDA 665 on Monday 19 Sep 2011 at 7.50 WITA then arrived at ADISUCIPTO JOGJA at 8.00 WIB.

DAY-1:
After sowan Kakung&Eyang putri, then doing jalan-jalan sore arround Kaliurang street..trying a traditional kuliner “GUDEG YU NARNI“.


"I was shocked..surprised when seing a price menu...more then twice cheaper than Balikpapan food. GUDEG with telor bacem only Rp 7000, complete with chicken meat max Rp12000, drink hot tea Rp1500. You can find this resto inside a small road at the northern part of POLSEK, UGM CAMPUS.

Finished a kuliner session at Gudeg Yu Narni, then continued with jalan-jalan sore. At the end of the day, we visited Ambarukmo Plaza to play Timezone and take a dinner.

DAY-2: PRAMBANAN TEMPLE- SENDANG AYU RESTO
Morning events: sowan mbah buyut putri at Gaten, Condong Catur then visit kak IGEN's family. We were playing together: kak igen, bulan, adik allysa & me. Really a nice moment, therefore we promised to play again in GABUSAN Waterboom area in the next following day.


Evening session: we visited a Prambanan temple. Arham never arrived here before..we spent a couple hours here to take some nice photography. At the end..adik&arham played with rusa..to give them some food from surrounding grashes. Offcourse. We were all happy..

Before we back home, we tried a kuliner at Sendang Ayu Resto Jl jogja-solo in between airport & Prambanan temple. Resto menu mainly fishes with some associated food, the prices is relatively almost the same with Balikpapan. I think it because of special view here..”Bungalow concept above River pool”. To reach the location, we have to cross the big pool using rakit or small perahu.

DAY-3: GABUSAN WATER BOOM - TAMAN SARI,KRATON
Early morning..riding a bicycle with Papi...travelling arround kampung Tempelsari..seeing kolam Ngingas and Kali Kuning.

First destination was water boom area at Gabusan, Bantul. In here arham played together with kak Igen..Bulan. Adik allysa was slept at that time. Arham swam inside pool, playing a sliding thru water channel & swimming below a bucket water.

Next destination was Taman sari, an ancient Javanese palace from dynasty Hamengkubuwono I to IV. A lot of unique and mysthic places in here..

In general, there are 3 main places:
1. A private swimming pool for King&princess plus others King's wifes, associated with old sauna room,
2. King bed room & a meditation room for King &family.
3. Underground masjid architecture. Historically, it became a hidden place for praying &muster point for Sultan &his soldiers to do a gerilya attack to the Deutch colonial. If you have a hobby of photography..please don't miss to visit this location..to capture a great & nice pictures in here.

For you which never been here before, you can find this place to the west from current modern palace. It is relatively difficult to find directly since the location was inside current village outer from current Kraton. It is better to ask a local guide surrounding or sopir becak there. Entrance ticket for 4 person Rp 10000, plus a local contribution depend on us.

At the end, we tried a kuliner arround Jl Kaliurang, but due to traffic jam and Arham already hungry so we just went to Pizza Hut.
After that we went back to Kakung's house at Tempelsari village near Sambisari Underground temple.



DAY-4: ALUN-ALUN, MALIOBORO
In the morning adik &Arham..were treated a tradisional masssage by mbah Ahmad. After refreshing the body, we went for jalan-jalan sore to Malioboro area. Firstly Arham went to masjid besar Kauman to do a sholat Ashar together with Papi&Kakung. General view about this masjid seems very artistic..with predominantly Javanese style.

Initially we planned to go to Taman pintar Malioboro, unfortunately it was already closed at 16.00. Fyi, on Monday-Friday this place is opened from 9.00 to 16.00..then for weekend session is opened a little bit longer to 17.00.

So..we just went to Jl Malioboro to search any souvenirs at Pasar Beringharjo. The name Beringharjo was given by previous Sultan means: "Bering": beringin tree, "Harjo: seldom = kesejahteraan. Again, due to it was too crowded at that time, then we just walked along trotoar for a while..then finally decided to ride "Andong" together: Kakung, papi, ibuk, adik & me.

We paid Rp 40000 to ride arround Malioboro-kawasan Pecinan-Pasar kembang then back to post in front of Pasar beringharjo.

At the end of the day, we tried a kuliner session at SAGAN RESTO..seafood restoran whixh is close to UNY Campus. We paid Rp 205000 for menu sapi lada hitam, sup bibir ikan, udang mayonaise, tahu goreng plus some drinks: 2 orange juice, 1 ice lemon tea & temulawak a traditional drink.

DAY 5: at Kakung homestay, check in hotel, jalan malam at Alun-alun
From morning to afternoon, we just stayed at Kakung's house because afterlunch we planned to check in at Grand Quality hotel at jl adisucipto.

Before check in, we tried a kuliner steaks ala campus which located at Colombo area. Everything menu are really cheap as the most consumers are students in Jogja. You may see following list menu&prices.

Finally we check in at hotel, at lobby we saw a live show of Javanese traditional music GAMELAN + UYON-UYON". Papi paid this hotel for deluxe room with corporate rate Rp 545000/ night

At evening session, we went arround kota & alun-alun Kraton Jogja. We saw some attractive shows at Alun-Alun kidul. Many people spent time to enjoy evening session by drinking wedang ronde while "Ngobrol sana sini" in the yard.

DAY 6: Taman pintar, Malioboro, kuliner at Ramingten
Since at the beginning, Arham planned to visit this place..finally we arrived here on Saturday morning at 9.45..entrance ticket Rp 15000/adult Rp 10000/kid. Arham really enjoyed the playground game and studio inside which presents an educative materials for children to know basic geosciences & physical teory.

Next destination was Batik Mirota to do a shopping some batik clothes & souvenirs. Unfortunetaly in here, everything prices are fixed (we can't do a bargain like in Malioboro trotoar). Adik Allysa & me are waiting Ibuk doing shopping at small resto 3th floor...while drinking es cendol & snacks. See adik weared a traditional Javanese hat named as a "blangkon".

If you are expert to do a bargain..I think it is better to buy some souvenirs along Malioboro trotoar or inside Pasar Beringharjo.

After finished shopping, then we went to a special resto named as "Ramingten House" located at Kotabaru..adjacent to Mirota bakery. This is really a nice resto with an old Javanese traditional atmosphere. The waitress were using a traditional Javanese dress code named as "Kemben"...and there was a "gamelan music" as the accompaniment. The menu are relatively complete and the prices also cheap. We paid Rp 86.000 for a giant bowl of bubur ayam, mendoan, ketupat tahu, soto daging plus drinks: wedang jahe, es dawet, es kelapa & ice tea. After satiated then we went to Kakung's house to say a goodbye since tommorow early morning...Arham will back to Balikpapan soon.

Graduation day in Tumble Tots..Balikpapan Baru

..Hari Kamis, tgl 23 Juni 2011, merupakan hari terakhir Arham sekolah playgroup di Tumble Tots..Balikpapan Baru. Tentu banyak kenangan indah waktu belajar dan bermain bareng teman-teman Arham dan para aunti di sekolah ini.


Untuk mengenang kebersamaan ini, maka diselenggarakan acara lunch bareng pada hari Jumat tgl 24 Juni 2011 di Resto Ocean bersama para orang tua. Selesai makan siang bareng,...setelah perut kenyang dilakukan sesi foto bareng buat kenang-kenangan. Nih,..temen-temen Arham lagi pada mejeng....seru kan.

Setelahnya Arham akan melanjutkan sekolah TK. Arham harus bisa bangun pagi, berangkat sekolah bareng Papi jam 7.00 pagi....trus pulangnya akan dijemput Ibuk.

Fun Byking from Paris to Amsterdam….

Sudah jadi rutinitas di weekend pagi, kalau cuaca cerah Papi ngajak sepedaan Arham keliling kompleks Balikpapan Baru. Route jalan yang naik turun lumayan untuk tracking olah raga sepedaan…yang katanya buat ngecilin perut Papi. Spesial untuk hari Minggu pagi, kalau tidak hujan dilanjutkan acara aerobik massal di plataran parkir mall Fantasi.

Start dari Kyoto jam 06.30 pagi...langsung tancap menuju Vancouver sebagai acara pemanasan. Arham biasanya minta turun di taman Vancouver tengah yang ada wahana mainan jungkat-jungkit maupun ayunan peer boneka Elephant, horse dan sepeda.

Puas dengan mainan jungkat jungkit dilanjutkan fun byking menuju Paris…melalui jalan pintas Vancouver & ruko BB Chinese town. Di kompleks Paris sebenernya pemandangannya biasa,...jarang sekali terlihat anak-anak main di taman waktu pagi hari, jadi Arham berdua ama Papi main di taman sambil berfoto ria. Jalan mengitari taman Paris cukup menghabiskan waktu 10 menitan sebelum menuju tujuan berikutnya yaitu Amsterdam.

Di Amsterdam lumayan lebih ramai dibanding Paris, karena selain lebih besar juga kompleksnya ada 2 sisi. Satu sisi kompleks terdapat lapangan tennis yang menyatu dengan taman di sisi kompleks satu lagi terdapat lapangan basket yang menyatu dengan setting taman landmark kota Amsterdam dengan ciri khas kincir angin raksasanya (meski tidak asli). Di lapangan basket ini, Arham menikmati pemandangan ramainya kakak-kakak yang sedang berlatih basket. Arham pingin bisa main basket juga..biar cepet tinggi badannya.

Selesai di Amsterdam kalau hari Sabtu ya..langsung pulang ke Kyoto kalau Minggu cerah biasanya lanjut acara aerobik selesai jam 07.30-an.

Vacation to Makassar...South Sulawesi

As there is a common public holiday on Friday, 3 June 2011...and Papi still have 1 day entitled annual leave, then Arham invite Papi, Ibuk & adik to have a vacation to Makassar. Arham want to see Trans studio for the 1st time...which previuosly got a story from friends here that the playing grounds are really spectaculer. Also this will be 1st time for Arham to go fior vacation at Sulawesi island...which normally should be different if we went back to Java or went to Bali for vacation.

=Mumpung ada harpitnas tanggal Jumat 3 Juni 2011, dan selagi Papi masih ada sisa jatah cuti 1 hari...maka Arham mengajak Papi, Ibuk & adik Alyssa liburan ke Makassar. Niatnya sih pingin lihat Trans studio yang katanya permainannya heboh dari cerita teman-teman tetangga Arham. Ini juga pertama kalinya, Arham menjajaki liburan di pulau Sulawesi yang tentu kesannya akan berbeda kalau mudik atau liburan ke Jawa maupun Bali.

At this time..Garuda Indonesia also gived a promo regarding their opening a direct flight route from Balikpapan - Ujung pandang,.that's why Papi bought ticket soon after heared that info. As predicted..for Thusday 2 June 2011 already full booked...it's no problem then we booked for next trip on Friday 3 June. Also for hotel...initially we planned to book at Horison hotel..unfortunately it was already fully booked also..so we choosed the avalaible hotel at Clarion..We got a deal rate Rp 650 ribu/night for deluxe class.

=Bertepatan dengan pembukaan jalur penerbangan baru Garuda Indonesia route Balikpapan-Ujung Pandang, maka momen ini tidak disia-siakan lagi Papi untuk segera pesen tiket. Sudah diduga hari Kamis tgl 2 Juni, mesti sudah habis diborong orang....bener ternyata kita hanya kebagian untuk terbang hari Jumat 3 Juni. Demikian pula untuk hotel pilihan ternyata sudah habis dipesan orang, rencana mau booking untuk hotel Horizon yang katanya dekat pantai...yang masih avalaible yaitu hotel Clarion. Deal...langsung pesan aza..per night Rp650 ribu untuk kamar Deluxe.

Friday, 3 June 2011 at 12.40, Papi, Ibuk, Arham, Adik Allysa & mbak Anna flight with Garuda to Makassar. Arround 14.10 then we arrived at Hasanuddin airport, Makassar..and we already picked up by driver "pak Ahmad" from Padaidi rental. We went to hotel through tol road then after we got a traffic jam at Jl P. Petarani....time duration for this trip 25-30 menits. Finally we feel relaxed after arrived at Clarion hotel...this is typical new hotel with new atmosphere off course..So we just directly doing check in then take a rest...after doing jalan-jalan sore at 5.00 pm.

=Hari H, Jumat siang 3 juni 2011 pukul 12.4o, Papi, Ibuk, Arham, adik Alyssa & mbak Anna terbang ke Makassar. Sekitar pukul 14.10 sudah mendarat di bandara Hasanuddin, Makassar dan kita sudah dijemput pak Ahmad driver dari rental Padaidi. Perjalanan ke hotel Clarion ditempuh melalui jalan tol lanjut dengan jalur normal dan langsung disambut macet di Jl P. Petarani, total waktu perjalanan 25-30 menit. Lega juga nyampe di hotel Clarion..tipe dan suasana hotel baru...Arham sangat suka. Check in dapat di lantai 12...diikuti acara bersih-bersih trus rebahan en start jalan-jalan lagi jam 5 sore.

Day-1 (Friday): Losari beach,..kuliner at Konro Karebosi

At evening session which was so clear,,.we went to pantai Losari area. Off course in this spot area already crowded...there are many people especially ABG which want to see the sun set. Arham & adik Allysa...didn't miss this event..to take some photo.

=pas timingnya sore hari yang cerah, pak Ahmad langsung mengarahkan kita menuju kawasan pantai Losari. Benar saja sore itu, spot area pantai Losari sudah dipenuhi orang terutama ABG dan anak muda yang menanti pemandangan sun set (mentari tenggelam). Kesempatan buat Arham mejeng....tak lupa adik Alyssa juga.

Exactly when we heared athan Magrib...the sun set view was dissapeared. Some people were start leaving the area, then we left also the Losari beach at that time. Next destination was doing sholat magrib..then kuliner for dinner time. Pak Ahmad offered as to try menu Konro "Karebosi" which already well known here. Then we went there..Papi tried konro bakar, Ibuk & Arham tried konro rebus. This resto is relatively small, but it seems already well known since there were non stop customers came. We just finished the dinner, then people already came to fill our table. It was relatively cheap: 2 konro bakar, 3 sup konro with 4 big beef iga + drinks only spent Rp 178ribu. At 8 pm, we went to one shopping center there named as "Karebosi mall" which was located below "Karebosi yard".

=Bertepatan dengan kumandang azan Magrib...kilau sinar mentaripun mulai sirna dari pandangan. Seiring dengan beberapa orang beranjak meninggalkan arena, kitapun pergi meninggalkan spot foto area Pantai Losari. Tujuan berikutnya tempat solat magrib, lanjut acara kuliner malam...sama pak Ahmad ditawari menu Konro "Karebosi" yang katanya merupakan menu spesial di salah satu kota ini. Kitapun menuju kesana, Papi pesan konro bakar, Ibuk & Arham konro rebus/kuah. Kelihatannya seperti resto biasa, tapi emang kliatannya sudah spesial dikalangan pelanggan, terbukti orang yang datang tiada henti. Baru selesai makan aja..meja sudah siap diisi tamu berikutnya. Lumayan murah juga hitungannya untuk 2 konro bakar, 3 konro kuah dengan masing-masing berisi 4 iga sapi besar-besar plus aneka minuman habisnya cuma Rp187ribu. Waktu sudah hampir jam 8 malam, sisa waktu yang ada dimanfaatkan untuk mampir arena shopping center mall Karebosi yang berada dibawah lapangan "Karebosi".

Day-2 (Saturday): Trans studio,..benteng Ford Rotterdam,..Samba Opu

To optimize 8 hours of car rental, we departed from Clarion hotel at 10 am after took breakfast toward mall+Trans studio. Arrived at Trans studio at 10.40, we bought entrance tickets for 5 persons. Weeh..it soo expensive yaw...normal entrance ticket Rp 110ribu/person while VIP ticket Rp 150ribu (we can play in every wahana studio). So..Papi just paid a normal ticket for us. The decision was right since Arham mostly played some wahana only instead of all: bianglala Trans TV, jeep safari track, komedi round trip while Papi played "perahu ayun".

=Dengan mengoptimalkan waktu sewa mobil 8 jam sehari, kita berangkat dari hotel Clarion jam 10 setelah menyantap sarapan pagi yang mantap menuju mall+Trans studio. Sampai di Trans studio hampir jam 10.40, langsung pesen tiket masuk..untuk berlima. Weeeh ternyata mahal juga...untuk tiket masuk biasa Rp 110 ribu/orang sementara VIP (bisa main segela wahana) Rp 150 ribu. Ya sudah daripada Papi tekor...mendingan pesen tiket biasa aja, bener juga Arham hanya berani naik beberapa wahana saja...diantaranya bianglala TransTV, jeep safari track..komedi putar...Papi naik perahu ayun.

We spent couple hours in this location...until we felt soo tired. Even at 15.00, Smash boyband will do live show here...since Arham not a real fan so..we just left the studio to visit another location. Next destination was benteng Fort Rotterdam..one of Deuth VOC colonial building...the atmosphere & condition was relatively same with Museum Fatahillah Jakarta. Entrance ticket in this location only Rp 2000/person...plus some donation depend on us.

=Lumayan menghabiskan waktu lama di lokasi ini,..tak terasa kaki udah gempor. Sudah jam 15.00 eh katanya si Smash mo tampil pula jam 16.00, berhubung Arham ndak nge-fans ya...kita putuskan pergi ke tujuan berikutnya aja. Tujuan berikutnya adalah benteng Fort Rotterdam peninggalan kolonial Belanda VOC...suasananya sih mirip Museum Fatahilah Jakarta. Tarif masuk moseum tergolong murah Rp.2000/orang plus sumbangan sukarela di daftar tamu.

Finished walking arround museum at 5 pm, then we went to buy some snacks for "oleh-oleh" at Samba Opu. Before magrib, we did a kuliner dinner at Coto Cagak resto which was already wellknown, as many birocrats person ever came here. Arham liked to eat coto...which is relatively same taste with soto daging Lamongan. One bowl of coto was combined with ketupat to be eaten. the price was relatively cheap. At 18.00 then we back to hotel

=Selesai putar-putar museum sudah hampir jam 5 sore, dilanjutkan acara belanja oleh-oleh di Samba Opu. Terakhir menjelang magrib, sekalian mampir dinner di rumah makan pinggir jalan "Coto Cagak" yang katanya spesial juga, banyak pejabat mampir kesana. Arham ternyata suka menu coto yang mirip-mirip rasanya ama soto daging Lamongan. Semangkuk coto dipadukan dengan menyantap ketupat. Lumayan murah juga kok harganya. Tepat jam 18.00 ...kita kembali ke hotel Clarion.

Day-3 (Sunday): Bantimurung Water fall, Traditional port Paotere (Phinisi ship)

As we have planned with pak Ahmad..that we will visit Bantimurung area, the location with water fall and a giant butterfly museum. The trip route was from hotel toward air port then entrance to kab. Maros area which spent more then 1 hour. In this location, there are many people came because the entrance ticket was relatively cheap Rp10ribu for adult, Rp5 ribu for children. It was soo crowded, many children and young people were playing inside the river below water fall position. Arham don't miss the event to take some photos. Finished with photo session then we went to buy some souvenirs which normally typical of any Butterfly preserved.

= Sudah janjian dengan pak Ahmad sebelumnya, untuk mengantarkan Arham ke Bantimurung yang ada lokasi air terjun dan museum kupu-kupu. Perjalanan ditempuh dari hotel ke arah bandara lanjut ke daerah kab. Maros selama 1 jam lebih. Ternyata lokasi ini, merupakan tujuan wisata rakyat yang relatif murah meriah tiket masuk Rp 10ribu dewasa, anak Rp 5ribu. Banyak anak-anak dan kaum muda yang mandi di sungai dibawah air terjun, amat sangat ramai..lumayan penuh sesak. Fenomena ini dimanfaatkan Arham buat foto-foto kondisi sekitar. Selesai berfoto, dilanjutkan dengan acara belanja cinderamata umumnya beragam kupu-kupu yang diawetkan.

Finished from Bantimurung, Papi want to take some photo at traditional port located in Paotere (there were a lot of Phinisi ship). It was really traditional port for any things except fishes which were loaded in/out from traditional ships. Because Arham already tired. so only Papi which took foto in here.
=Selesai dari lokasi Bantimurung, Papi ingin berfoto dipelabuhan rakyat daerah Paotere (jenis kapal Phinisi). Pelabuhan yang unik, bukan pelabuhan nelayan ikan tetapi pelabuhan barang untuk kapal-kapal tradisional. Berhubung Arham udah lemes, jadi Papi aja yang mejeng berfoto di area ini.

Finished with photo session in this area..then we went to eat.."kuliner coto" at Jl Petarani. The taste almost the same with other coto in here. Finished with kuliner..even there was still extra time then we decided to back to hotel to prepare for tommorrow check out at early morning. We planned to do check out at 4/30 and flight to Balikpapan with Garuda at 6.00.

= Selesai acara foto di area ini, dilanjutkan dengan kuliner coto di daerah Jl. Petarani. Rasanya sih mirip-mirip coto lainnya juga. Selesai acara kuliner, meski masih lumayan ada waktu sisa, kita putuskan untuk kembali ke hotel untuk persiapan check out esuk dini hari. Kita check out jam 4.30 pagi hari untuk terbang dengan garuda ke Balikpapan jam 6 pagi.
